Over the course of a week, an attempt is made to buy all available fly maggots in Berlin: 40 litres of maggots; 250,000 larvae. They are brought to the exhibition space, where they transform into pupae and emerge as flies. The flies then exit the premises via a hole in the window. On passing through the ‘fly gate’, each fly receives a name and a personalized farewell, amplified from speakers mounted inside the gallery space.
