Looking closely at the common housefly it becomes clear it is in fact a beautiful, harmless insect, and its existence is more relevant to human life than assumed by many. The aim of flygate is to find a simple and pragmatic, yet aesthetic and elegant, technical solution to peacefully channel flies out of a room without killing them. The construction functions as an automated permeable membrane for insects.
